Pigments, such as zinc oxide, and fillers, such as calcium
carbonate, clay, and aluminum hydrate are added often in amounts up to
the weight of rubber-like materials employed.
Solvents, when employed, are usually rather volatile, and hexane is
often used, although light naphtha and mineral spirits are also used.
