Usually a color and perfume must be included in the formulation for consumer appeal. Choice of a color poses no problem, but the perfume must be selected for odor value and compatibility with other ingredients. Where a larvicide is to be included, such as an aromatic petroleum derivative, it must be fitted into the formula. Where a clear product is desired, adjustment of the coupling agent (butyl "carbitol") may be required. |
