Low-Calorie Oatmeal Cookies
$G: Sifted enriched flour
Salt (optional)
Baking powder
"Sucaryl" powder
Shortening, melted and cooled
Oatmeal, uncooked
Skim milk
Chocolate pieces

Mix and sift flour, salt and baking powder. Add Sucaryl sweetener to melted shortening with eggs and oatmeal, stir thoroughly; add half the flour mixture. Add milk, chocolate pieces and vanilla, then remaining flour mixture.
Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork, if desired, or allow to stand up with peaks. Bake in hot oven (400F.) 15 min or until golden brown.
Each cookie contains approximately 0.5 g protein; 2 g fat; 3 g carbohydrate; 32 cal. If made with sugar, each cookie would supply approximately 43 cal. |
