To 90 parts of hot water (70C) add 2.2 parts of glacial acetic acid and 0.05 parts of Ethofat 242/25.* To this is added 10 parts of Armeen 18D with stirring. When the addition is complete, the batch is cooled to room temperature with stirring.
Armac 18, 18D, HT and HTD are also suitable for making emulsions.
Armeen 18, 18D, HT and HTD and Armac 18, 18D, HT and HTD are approved by the FDA.
CFR 173.310 Boiler Watr Additives - Boiler water additives may be safely used in the preparation of steam that will contact food in accordance with the conditions prescribed in this section, provided the additives do not exceed 3 ppm in steam and excluding use of such steam in contact with milk and milk products. |
