Mixture A-5 g. of camphor is dissolved in 5 oz. of alcohol at 78F.
then added to 5 oz. of eucalyptus oil.
Mixture B-4 parts of glycerin is added to 6 parts of distilled water at 95F.
The film is subjected to the vaporized solutions in an evacuated chamber at temperatures of 90 to 100F. for a period of approximately three hours. Lower temperatures require proportionately longer periods. This does not require the film to be uncoiled prior to treatment (of-ten resulting in additional cracking and breaking). Film reconditioned by this procedure is ready for use, and is unmarred by uneven deposits of the treating solution due to the vaporized state in which it is introduced. |
