Mineral spirits to D-F viscosity The resin is dissolved in mineral spirits and alcohol after which spirits and alcohol after which the tung and linseed oils are cut in.
Mineral spirits is added to obtain desired viscosity. Add driers equivalent to 0.3% lead, 0.03% cobalt and 0.15% manganese. Films tested are tack free in two hours and have excellent water, alkali resistance and were gas proof. |
